| Biography: |
My real name is Aleister Kelman. I'm a boy from Cambridge who thought he'd like to draw comics one day. When I was about eleven, me and a friend started drawing twisted comics with dogs smoking weed and terrorists killing innocent civilians. We managed to print about five whole issues of our strange little creation, which in retrospect is pretty impressive for two kids.
At sixteen I started to draw comics again after a hiatus, with a manga influence I'd picked up over the past few years. In late 2001 I happened upon Dock & Laura Watton who were setting up a doujinshi circle. That circle turned out to be the monster which is Sweatdrop today. I managed to kick out my first manga styled comic and haul my ass to my first convention that year.
I currently study Design for Communication at Chelsea College of Art & Design and practise professionally in tandem. I have been working freelance since 2002, in which time I have taken on work ranging from storyboards and character design for animation to corporate web design.
I aim to keep drawing, writing and designing with originality and hopefully some savvy. |
